Mother and social entrepreneur. She began her career believing that tourism could be a great solution for the development of Brazil . Founded Raízes Turismo e Desenvolvimento Local in 2006, as a small consultancy focused to work with public and private tourism developing projects and in 2009 decided to change the world and engage socially, by creating the Raízes Artesanato, social e-commerce to support the sales of crafts from Jequitinhonha Valley communities, a very dry and poor but cultural rich region in Minas Gerais. In 2011 holded together her two businesses in one : the Raízes Desenvolvimento Sustentável, a social business of transforming solutions through sustainable tourism and income generation projects, with a strong presence in the Jequitinhonha Valley, MG. She was a finalist of Social Entrepreneur of Future Award 2012 from Folha de São Paulo. In 2014, Raízes was certified as a B Corp, member a global movement of people that are using business as a force for good. Fellow at Women Change Maker Program Vital Voices Grow Program. Degree in tourism, MBA in Social Projects Management, accumulates experience in consultancy of Management Projects, Sustainable and Community Tourism, Associations, Local Development and Tourism Planning.
