Nolonda Jones

KIPP Houston

Nolonda is a creative professional with over 10 years of experience as an arts educator, advocate and interior designer. As an educator, she is committed to cultivating creativity by immersing students in the arts. She hopes to use art to develop divergent thinkers who can tackle the complexity of modern issues while remaining empathetic to the needs of others. Motivated by her love of all things art and design, she is passionate about opportunities to use art as a catalyst for social change. Nolonda believes that artists and makers have a transformational power when they align their passion with the purpose of community development. This belief has strengthened her resolve to develop a social enterprise that does two things: creates opportunities for artisans to partner and produce desirable products for the marketplace and connects everyday people to the life-affirming power of the arts.
