Care for AIDS
Ryan was born in the US and raised in a military family which meant moving frequently and developing a love for new places and people.Throughout High School and University, Ryan volunteered with international and domestic service-oriented humanitarian projects. These experiences developed in him an interest for international work, and led him to go on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Affairs with a focus on International Development at George Mason University. Ryan has worked in the US with a non-profit, spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon, and currently works as African Operation Director for CARE FOR AIDS, a global health NGO in Kenya. He is interested in seeing increased interaction between the non-profit, government and business sectors in finding solutions for global health issues and poverty that don’t just solve problems, but elevate individuals to become positive contributors in their communities. When not working, Ryan can be found outside somewhere with his friends and two dogs, reading a book with a beer in hand, or working on his guitar skills.
