MIA Candidate at the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, Former Investment Associate for Latin America, LGT Venture Philanthropy

Santiago is currently an Associate in I-DEV International’s Kenya office. I-DEV is a global strategy consulting and investment advisory firm specialized in emerging markets. At I-DEV, Santiago advises on business strategy, private sector strengthening and markets development, among other diverse topics. Santiago has diverse experience working in emerging markets with international organizations and social enterprises. Prior to joining I-DEV, Santiago worked for the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) on a capacity building project for the Presidency of Colombia. He has also worked in multiple countries with Kiva.org, mostly in South East Asia and Latin America, advising on funding allocation and business training programs for local businesses. Santiago has a Masters in Strategic Management from the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (Madrid, Spain) and a Bachelors in Business Administration from CESA School of Business in Bogota, Colombia.After graduating from Amani Institute other than joining I-DEV International, his former apprenticeship host, Santiago has launched Drums in the Dark with his co-founders Rodrigo and Santiago. They are currently a semi-finalist of the Hivos Social Innovation Award.
