Joshua Muindi

Born in Kenya but raised in the US, Joshua moved back to Kenya at the age of 12 and attended the Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe.  It was here that he would participate in community outreach projects for the first time. Most significantly, he was involved in outreach programs in the Mai Mahiu internally displaced peoples camp after the post election violence faced in Kenya in 2007; he did this throughout high school. All these experiences exposed him to the harsh reality  of the devastating effect conflict can cause; and this led him to join United States International University -Africa, where he completed a degree in International Relations, majoring in Peace and Conflict.

Joshua’s life goal is to influence peace processes around the world; more specifically working on finding sustainable peace by identifying root problems within social issues, and tackling them to achieve healthy and positive development. He also has an adventures heart of traveling, spontaneity and is an avid believer of the term “Carpe Diem.”
