Johnny Wilkes

Johnny Wilkes holds a master’s degree in philosophy and has five years of experience delivering, leading and supervising development initiatives for vulnerable adults and young people in London. Projects include the creation of a smartphone technology for young people and their support workers; a wellbeing programme for young people, commissioned by Public Health England, and; a best practice exchange to the United States in Chicago and San Fransisco to discuss the benefits of co-production.

In December 2016, Johnny left London and went to Chiang Mai, Thailand to train for a Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate.  Johnny spent the first half of 2017 in Athens, Greece teaching English to adult refugees; creating a pre-school programme for children in a refugee camp, and delivering employment counselling for refugee youths in Athens.
