Theory U and Complexity
Course Description
Through the lenses of Theory U and Complexity Theory this hands-on course will give you a framework, a set of skills and capacities to intervene more effectively in complex social challenges such as poverty, malnutrition, climate change.
Participants will be presented to a real world challenge where we will go through the U Process for intervening in the system.
Since it emerged around 2006 at Massachusetts Institute of Technology with Otto Scharmer, Joseph Jaworski and others, Theory U has come to be understood in three primary ways:
- as a framework;
- as a methodfor leading profound change;
- as a way of being– connecting to the more authentic of higher aspects of our Selves.
In this course we will deepen into Theory U and some branches of Complexity Theory to understand how we keep collectively producing results nobody wants in a systemic level. We will use the framework, method (U Process) and the way of being of Theory U to move from ego system economies to eco system economies.
