Debora Souza

Debora was born and has always lived in São Paulo, Brazil. As an activist for youth rights, she has participated in many initiatives, events and conferences, at national and international levels. Debora has graduated in International Relations and during her time at the University she met some special people with whom she later co-founded Engajamundo, a NGO created to raise awareness and connect young people to take action to address current social and environmental issues. At Engajamundo, besides doing several local development and activist projects, Debora has also participated at two United Nation General Assemblies (in 2014 as a keynote speaker) and two UN Climate Change Conferences (COP). Currently, she works with different stakeholders around the Impact Investing agenda at the Instituto de Cidadania Empresarial - ICE. Debora is passionate about fighting climate change, reaching gender equality, understanding social innovation and playing classical music in her spare time.
