Farhana Parker is a registered Social Worker serving as a project manager and researcher on various special projects for the Western Cape Minister of Social Development. She holds three honours degrees in Social Work, Psychology and Social Policy and Management. She plays an active role in her community where she is involved in various projects and volunteers to help the disadvantaged. She enjoys reading and adventurous activities. Farhana’s long-term goal is to lead her own social enterprise in which she can empower women and thereby address the challenges of social exclusion and unemployment in South Africa. She wants to act as a catalyst to bring about positive change and to provide role models to empower individuals. With the knowledge and skills she obtains from Amani Institute, she hopes to reach this goal. Farhana views herself as a change maker and role model to other females.
