Jon comes from a small town called Mondragon, located in the heart of the Basque Country, in the north of Spain. Jon was lucky enough to grow up with amazing mountains and beautiful beaches, surrounded by trees and animals. Perhaps this is why he is so concerned about the relationship between humans and nature. Society’s modern systems are unsustainable and nature's resistance to this way of living is inevitable. Change is necessary. Jon does not want to live in a society where GDP growth is more important than human well being. According to Jon, humans need to consider themselves not separate from nature, but a part of it. Jon hopes to achieve this goal with his other passion: education. He hopes to inspire and create new generations who will protect the ecology of this planet and transform irresponsible consumption habits. In addition to environmental conservation, Jon loves music, travelling and listening to other people’s stories.
