Joy Kirui

Joy has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Bradford University, England. She is particularly interested in sustainability and business. In order to merge the two, Joy hopes to become a social entrepreneur. She wants to focus on development and environmental issues such as: waste management, informal housing, and slum upgrading. Joy wants to achieve this by creating sustainable living communities with alternative and low cost techniques. Joy has experience in agro-business, specifically with large-scale tea farming. She is also familiar with the energy sector and specifically renewable energy in Kenya. Currently, Joy is working as an environmental consultant for Environmental Impact Assessments and for various real estate projects. Joy has a passion for people. Her early years of travel have helped her to connect easily with people and communicate well. Traveling also taught her about the importance of community.
