Joy is a development professional who is passionate about supporting vulnerable groups, including youth. She dreams of building a world where youth of all backgrounds have the opportunities and resources that they need to reach their goals.
Research and writing are other passions Joy has. So far, she has conducted studies on the impact of social enterprises on labour market structures in Nairobi, as well as on the role that innovation hubs play in the inclusion of women in Kigali's start-up scene. Furthermore, she has experience in partnership mapping and engagement, as well as in monitoring and evaluation.
In addition to the Amani Institutes Postgraduate Certificate in Social Innovation Management, she also has dual Master's degrees in Development Management and Development Studies. Joy has lived in South Africa, Germany, Kenya and Rwanda.
