Lakshmi Hiranandani

Lakshmi lives in a rural part of India, has a Bachelor of Sciences in Biochemistry from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, and is the CEO of Swara - Voice of Women, a lifestyle brand that financially empowers rural women.

She has experience consulting with corporates, non-profits and start-ups, designing systems that enable organizations to both scales and deepen their impact focusing on education, employability, entrepreneurship, and empowerment of women. Lakshmi started her career with Aon - a global leader in human capital advisory where she helped Fortune 500 companies in India & Sri Lanka to manage and motivate their people. She also set up a vertical within the company that today continues to serve NGO clients pro-bono. She previously worked at Atma, an accelerator for education non-profits, and GAME (Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship).

She spends her time searching for models that enable underrepresented women to lift themselves. She aspires to engage women in the workforce in a sustainable and profitable manner and sees the Social Innovation management program as the right tool to get herself ready to launch her own social enterprise.
