Maria grew up moving from country to country where she was able to connect with very different types of people and cultures, and different ways of living, which greatly enriched and broadened her point of view. Her interest in people led her to study psychology, and she has always enjoyed working in pro-human activities, where people get together to share and enjoy each other. Her experience includes two years of volunteering in the Villa Miseria with Argentine children, a year volunteering with differently-abled people, and single immigrant mothers with young children. Her favorite accomplishment was building an association in her university that raised money for a childrens' organization in Kenya. She reflects that this permitted her and her colleagues to go to university every day with a different perspective, and more important, a big smile on their faces!
