Mariana Fernandes da Silva

Mariana is a journalist, with a postgraduate degree in Political Science and experience in Communications for human rights and other causes. She is currently the Communication Coordinator for Politize!, an organization that works to provide civic education to all Brazilians.

Mariana also acted as a Communications Consultant for UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, for two years. She joined Amani Institute’ Social Innovation Management program to contribute to building a fairer and less violent country through civic education. She wants to develop citizens who know their rights, duties, the history of their country, and the meaning of politics in all of our lives.
