Octavio Roca

Octavio is from Buenos Aires, Argentina.  While working in the private sector for several years,  he developed teamwork, leadership and problem solving skills. At the age of 15, he became concerned about the lack of possibilities that many others have, so he decided to start participating in a social program that works in two schools in the northeast of Argentina, and gives shelter to the whole community.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Global Business Management from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa and his university thesis was selected as the best of 2015 by the University Dean. The thesis analyzed the role of the venture capital funds in all stages of financing, to understand and explain why Argentina, having one of the biggest ecosystems of innovation and startups in Latin America, was losing ground in the amount of exits per year.

Octavio would like to explore changing the values that govern the world and hopes the Social Innovation Management Program will give him a framework to do this, as well as connect him to people that are also concerned about our future.
