Originally from Alaska, Sarah Hayes has been living and working in Cairo, Egypt where she managed humanitarian programs at the UN Migration Agency. She served previous roles in the humanitarian field in Morocco and India. She holds a Masters in Anthropology from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys exploring the bustling markets of Cairo in search of inspiring architecture, design treasures and artisan creations.
As an incoming Amani fellow, Sarah is inspired by reinvigorating traditional crafts, ethical supply chains and storytelling as a medium for creating positive change. She is ready to open herself to new ways of thinking and designing a more inclusive world.
