Reem Khouri

Founder, Kaamen

Reem Khouri is passionate about designing business models for impact. She believes that organizations can only be sustainable if societies become part and parcel of their business model with solid economic and social contracts. Her goal is to support organizations to do so by demonstrating the financial benefits of adopting socially innovative business models and processes. In order to do so, she founded Kaamen (Arabic for untapped potential, hidden, inherent, implicit), a social enterprise that designs and implements shared interests based investments and programs and identify their financial and social return on investment. Reem serves on the board of directors of Ruwwad for Development, a regional not for profit private sector-led community empowerment organization that operates in Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon and Egypt. She is also serving on several boards such as Ruwwad Micro Venture Fund, the National Micro-finance Bank of Jordan and Nakhweh, the first Arab volunteer web-matching platform. Reem recently joined the board of advisors of the Demeter Network, an entrepreneurs support network in growth markets. She was recently listed as one of the 100 most powerful Arabs under 40 by Arabian Business magazine.
