Shared Interest

Course Description

“Morality, it could be argued, represents the way that people would like the world to work, whereas economics represents how it actually does work.” Steven D. Levitt, Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything. This workshop aims to support participants in exploring their stakeholders’ economic and social interests and design impact driven models based on shared interests.

The shared interests’ model is defined as an attainable opportunity for impact where the economic and social interests of an organization intersect and align with the economic and social interests of its internal and external stakeholders. Participants will have access to examples and tools that will enable them to categorize their stakeholders and identify the economic and social interests of each one. From there, participants will revisit their impact model to ensure it achieves the shared interests and fine-tune their organizational goals and values accordingly. They will also derive clear indicators through an impact map to continuously assess the performance of their organization.
